Wildfires are raging across the globe while temperatures are soaring; a pandemic has taken the lives of millions and no end is in sight; political decisions are being made that are limiting the freedoms that many of us fought so hard to gain, and war crimes are being committed as sovereign nations struggle to maintain their autonomy.
As women leaders in a VUCA world, we must reclaim our self-sovereignty. Mature women leaders—the wise women, are called now to fully own and embrace their archetypal Inner Crone—embody wisdom and mastery.
Their Inner Feminine offers wisdom, their Inner Masculine provides mastery and knowledge. The mature Inner Feminine archetypal energy is what we all need to source in these times of great transitions.
Women, who are not defined by their chronological age are strong, multifaceted, unique, and real. They control the largest percentage of purchasing power in many countries. Ageless women are the future. Businesses that do not recognize and respect who they are, what they want, and how they deserve to be served will soon be a thing of the past, aged out!
Agelessness is no utopian idea. It’s actually a pragmatic approach to economic growth, national well-being, investment in the future, and innovation that could save every generation’s longevity and our happiness—and even the planet.
Women who exemplify living Agelessly that you may know are Oprah, Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinnem, Michelle Obama, Jacinda Ardern, Radhika Jones, Sandra Oh, Stacey Abrams, Tsai Ing-wen, Raja Al Gurg, Falguni Nayar, Nemonte Nenquimo, Malala Yousafzai, Greta Thunberg, and more. Most of them have embraced their Inner Crone as well!
My long-time friend and mentor Frances Hesselbein often repeats her favorite mantra: “Age is Just a Number!” She is my truest example I can offer you of someone who embodies Crone Energy. Frances in 106 and is still leading with purpose.
If your business or nonprofit is not already serving or planning to serve the 40+ adult market, or is not yet engaging donors and recruiting leadership and volunteers from this group of avid change makers, you are missing out financially.
This shift in focus on the longevity economy is not only essential for current older adults, but it’s also an issue for younger generations to take up. With life expectancy continuously rising, every generation should be concerned about pervasive ageist beliefs across every sector and in our personal lives.
Ageism is everyone’s problem; our Inner Crone is the solution.
