Now that we know that brain cells regenerate, there is no reason as I age that I can’t continue to grow and develop. Is that a true statement?

Exactly. Of course. Of course. I’ll be straight up here too: I’m 76 and I’m still going. In fact, I am still going strong. In fact, maybe stronger than ever before… because I have so much wealth of knowledge and experience to bring to the fore. I couldn’t have done this in the same way when I was 30 and 40 and even 50. And, now I have much more sense of who I am and why I’m here at this time and in this place.
I frequently meet with and enjoy the company of Frances Hesselbein. – After turning around our national GIRL SCOUTS of AMERICA, she was tapped by world-renown consultant Peter Drucker—now years ago to be his protégé to perpetuate his teachings on leadership. It was agreed that Frances would take over his institute and with Drucker’s blessings, call it her own when the time came for Peter to step down. Now years later, the Hesselbein Leadership Institute is still vibrantly alive and vital bringing the tenets of leadership to the many around the globe.
Frances would deflect this conversation because she’s not into aging being a factor at all. For her, age has nothing to do with reality. Its shows. She’s proven it as she heads into her 104th year on the planet. Pre-pandemic she was going to her office to work every day. Frances was still doing major talks and webinars the last time we visited. Frances is just living her longevity with zest, dedication, and earned wisdom, so to put a false narrative of, we stop at a certain age or we just can’t keep it going by a certain age is ludicrous.
I’m looking to do –that is, as long as the universe supports me—this work for another 30 years also! I am here to change the story about our AGE, and I have no plans for stopping any time soon!
