How can we use and lead with Emotional IQ at work, through our work, and in our communities, during this pandemic? How can EQ strengthen our reinvention and transformation process?
– Bill G.
It goes back to EQ. Women have always known what EQ is; educators have always known. I am so ticked off that we have to quantify it when it has always been present. Instead of nurturing EQ in families and classrooms, suddenly it is a scientific thing. However, ask any woman. The feminine is EQ. The soul is EQ.
Daniel Goleman presented EQ as if no one ever knew about it. It was great that he was able to scale it but it is not new. It is really ancient, deeply embedded in our soul: a soul that we are releasing in all of us and is a reclamation. EQ is more resonant already in women. They know how to tap into it unless they have been fully assimilated to fit into the culture we have.
EQ is very important in all stages of the reinvention process. These days many of the worst decisions are being made from a real lack of EQ. Reinvention is a synthesis of a variety of skills—and EQ clearly is at the heart of the best of decisions collectively and individually.
