Do you think the gaps between the generations may dissipate as we work multi-generationally and virtually as well?
– Kevin F
Yes. Absolutely, because again, I do believe that the gaps are false, and they’ve been blown out of proportion a lot by the media. However, truly, ultimately, it is not about media. Our own ageism is coming out and it’s coming out in this way, and we need to break that down. It’s not real.
I go back again to core values because they’re so important. The core values of the organization and the leadership have to be accepted throughout the organization and that means all ages. I mean, just talk about, let’s say, the triple bottom line. You know, people, planet, and profit. That’s true and relevant and embraced by people of all ages. That’s where we have to go to, is where we share our values to make our organization successful so that we meet the challenges of the Longevity Economy, but that comes from all age groups. It’s not done alone. I mean, my entire virtual team are in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and I’m 76. Thank goodness for them. We are a sizzling blend of generational differences, while sharing our values, worldviews and passion to create a better future together.
