This recent cycle of tumult is not like the rest. I see my colleagues in low spirits. How can I stay inspired and able to keep a keen eye for creative innovations to my business at a time like this?

There is no better time than this. In fact, this is possibly our last chance to be the age of great collaboration, leading to epic-changing innovation. Because there’s no right way to do anything right now as everything is shifting so quickly, what worked in the institutions in the past are not working today. There are spaces for innovation and creativity that didn’t exist before or were blocked or resisted. The Longevity Economy itself is an example, as analysts predict that more will continue to be invested in the business of aging to keep up with Boomers’ vibrancy. Give yourself permission to really go for it!
One of the things that’s kept me focused amidst so, so many challenges in my life and business is staying clear on my own storyline for my life, so my fate is in my control, so I have the authority and agency in my life. I know that if I stay in touch with what I most desire and want to bring into the world, I have to stay with it, doing everything I can to make it happen. That is true for all of us.
We must take time to work on those ideas we didn’t have a chance to before, and how they intersect with the needs of the world. No matter what kind of business you’re in, make sure that what you’re contributing affects the world right now, no matter what side you’re going from. That’s where the win-win-win is. This is it – this is our eleventh hour, no matter what your age.
As Buckminster Fuller said, “Emergence out of emergency” is when things happen.
Open up to inspiration and take your time, rather than hurrying around as we did before.
Pay attention to the needs you’re trying to meet and let inspiration spring forth. No more
dress rehearsals – this is the time to do it. We have a choice to make; now or never.
