I am 55 years old. What is my expected life span—and how should I plan for it?
– Angie L.
Right now, the average life expectancy for women in the United States is 81 years old while it is 76 for men. However, we are going to see some important shifts in science and artificial intelligence that will lead to significantly longer life spans in the years ahead.
I plan as if I am going to live until 100. All my mentors are over 100 – and believing this keeps me living in the moment rather than worrying about when I will “kick the bucket.”
I encourage all my clients to live life to the fullest today…and that is all any of us can do. I also suggest people live CoHERently, tapping what is most true for them and living in deep resonance deeply with their inner core founded on truth-telling, no regrets, reframing, always showing up, and consistently standing up for what matters. When you do, you are less likely to worry about the number of years and more about the depth and joy of your realized self.
