I’m worried about inflation, the potential for a recession, and a general sense of chaos felt since the beginning of the pandemic. In 2008 my family was hit hard. How can I prepare for an economic downturn?

The truth is we don’t know what’s coming—we’re in a state of rapid evolution. But think back to your situation in 2008. What were the innovative ways you made it through? Did you have a backup plan then? Do you have one now?
The best way to prepare for the unknown is to stay vigilant, monitor trends, and to respond—don’t react. Take the time to review all of your options and make changes and adjustments where you see fit. You’ve done this before!
We are crafting a new era, piece by piece. It’s going to be a long process and I don’t know what the end result will be. But I can tell you that this time is full of opportunity.
